Imagine: Bofur’s hat getting so worn out that it falls apart. Some encourage him to get a new one. Others want him to patch it up with new fabric. He doesn’t like either idea because he’s proud of the wear and tear on it. Each imperfection holds a memory. Finally you ask him to trust you and take the hat away. Two days later you return it to him looking exactly the same. But you’d used your seamstress skills to reinforce the structure and even the tears so that the hat is still structurally sound

This is adorably sweet! May his hat never perish! 

Imagine: Asking Éomer to let you braid his hair because seeing it all over the place is starting to annoy you. He’s startled enough by the request that he agrees without thinking. He’s not too enthused as you work. Later, the members of his squad tease him about it, but he surprises them and himself by defending the style and he even goes back to you on a few other occasions to help him keep his hair out of his eyes. To both of your amusements, it started a trend among the riders

I think  Éomer could definitely rock a braid!
